I have a few friends who are in the cell phone business. I was talking to one the other day about the google andriod phone. This phone is getting a lot of buzz on the internet. People are saying that an iphone competitor is here. I looked over some photos and vidoes of this new phone and i have to say that i am impressed. I wouldn’t exchange my iphone for this phone, but i would want to play around with it for a few hours. I think that completions makes things great for consumers. Right now, the iphone and RIM’s blackberry hold this market. But, if new companies come in, we will see better service at lower costs. We should see price drops on products and services.

I really hope that the google phone does well. From the look of the design, i think that they should do some major improvements. HTC is the manufacturer and i have to say that they like things functional. They need to hire some designers that understand that sexiness sells. They need to realize that people would rather have something that looks good as opposed to something that has a lot of functions.

In order to install a wordpress theme, you first need to locate a theme you like and download it to your computer. The theme will usually come in a zipped folder. Unzip the folder and take it out of the sub folder. You will probably want to use a FTP client to upload it to your wp-content/themes folder on your server. I use filezilla and it usually does a great job.

Once you have the theme uploaded to your server, all you have to do now is login to your wordpress admin and activate the new theme. Sign in to your wordpress blog and go to the design panel. You should see a theme section. Click on that and you will see the current theme that is on your blog. Under that, you should find the new theme that you just uploaded via your FTP client software.

Click on the new theme and check your web site. That is all you need to do in order to swtich your wordpress theme around. Installing plugins and themes is easy when you work with wordpress.

I wanted to talk more about wordpress the blogging platform. I have been using wordpress for around a year now. I first set up a wordpress blog back in october of 2007. I am not familiar with this platform. I feel confident that my knowledge of this blogging platform can help other people become better with managing their data. There are two types of wordpress blogs. First, you have the free hosted version of the wordpress blog. These blogs are hosted on whatever domain dot wordpress dot com. The other option is to host your own wordpress blog. This site will be found at your domain dot com.

I started off with my own hosted version of wordpress. Before i began blogging, i read about the benefits of hosting your own wordpress blog. Most people tend to switch after a certain amount of time anyway. So i figured that i might as well start off with the hosted version.

If you want to start off with a free hosted blog, visit the guys over at wordpress dot com. There, you can set up your own blog right away. If you want to set up your own hosted blog, then get a shared hosting account that features fantastic. It is as simple as that. I will continue to write more about wordpress in my later posts.

I have been a fan of entourage on HBO for a few years now. I think that the show is a great example of the Hollywood machines. Everyone has a stake in the madness of celebrity filled Hollywood. The business is fun by the media and the images of so called Hollywood stars. I think that people love celebrity gossip. Some of the most popular magazines and tv shows are dedicated to celebrity gossip. It makes sense that we would want to follow a group of fictitious celebrities via a tv drama. I think that entourage works because they try to portray a realistic Hollywood. A lot of real stars make cameo appearances on this show as well. I think that this adds to the star effect and in turn makes the stars of this show into bonafide celebrities.

If you have not yet seen this show yet, i highly recommend it. It is written well and the actors are funny and real.

The retail or commercial sector of the real estate market is in chaos. A lot of business locations are being emptied out like there is a plague coming. When an anchoring business leaves the business location, all of the smaller shops are faced with low traffic and lower sales. People do not want to shop when the market is bad. But, even worse, people do not want to shop where businesses are closing down.

I have been visiting a lot of different shopping malls and i see the same thing happening all across the country. Commercial property owners are faced with increased monthly expenses with lower income. The market does not look like it will rebound any time soon. When businesses die out, the residential sector also suffers. We have to understand that our economy acts like a delicate eco system. If one species or business dies out, we all suffer greatly.

I have been buying and selling stuff on ebay for the last 8 years now. I remember when i first discovered this auction web site. I thought that it was one of the greatest things on earth. It was amazing how simple it was to use. You could also find all sorts of things on ebay. What amazes me is that there are still a lot of people that have never used ebay. I have friends who have never bought or sold anything on ebay. How strange of them to not embrace new technology. Anyway, i wanted to rant about losing on one of my auctions earlier today.

I had a high bid on a domain name that i wanted to buy. Even until the last few min, i was winning the bid. The price was at around $25 and because i really wanted this domain, i put in my max bit to $50. I was safe until the last few seconds and i thought that i clearly won this domain. But, i guess someone or some software put in a bid at the last closing of the auction. I ended up losing the domain to someone who paid $51 dollars for it. Damn shame. I have to keep a close eye out for auctions even in the last few seconds.

i have three banking accounts. One is with Wamu and another is with Bofa. My third banking account is with Chase. Out of all three, i have to say that Chase does the worst job with online banking. First of all, the data contained in my online statements are not updated in real time. If i make a payments, it does not show up right away. Wamu and Bofa both show recently transactions right away. This isn’t the only problem. Chase online banking does not allow me to switch computers or browsers to login.

This is a big inconvenience for me. This can be a big inconvenience for other users as well. If i am away on a business trip, i like to know that i can access my online bank account without going through a lengthy security process. I know that the info for my banking account is sensitive, but they should do a better job of making it easy on their customers. It doesn’t make any sense either because Chase is one of the largest banks in the world. I only have a bank account with them because one of my mortgages is with Chase. I wanted to automate my monthly payments so that is why i set up an account with them. But, if they do not update their control panel, i will have to close this account.

I subscribe to better software magazine. This magazine is a free magazine for people who run businesses. If you go to sticky minds dot com, you should find other free sources for these types of magazines. If you were to buy this magazine, it would cost you around ten dollars. But, if you own your own computer related business, this magazine can be delivered for free to your home. If you would like to learn about software, this magazine can be a good guide. Whatever type of business you run, it is important to know the tools that are available to you. A lot of these tools and info about these tools can be found for free if you know where to look. Being a good businessman means that you need to work really hard. You need to find the right tools and know how to get sales and or clients. In the beginning, everything will be slow to build up. But as time passes and you gain more experience, these types of tasks become second nature. Seek out magazines like this to learn more about your specific trade.

Get your hands on some free trade magazines and start doing some major reading.

Php is the coding language that wordpress runs on. Php is used to pull the data out of the mysql database so that your blog can pull the info and display your blog posts. If you understand how php works, you can set up other blogging platforms or set up really unique web sites for any type of web site. I am in the process of learning php. I think that i could set up some nice automated sites if i know how to tweak php.

I was looking through the web and found some really strong web sites that use php. The problem with learning a new language is that it is hard to get started. When you are first starting out, you will find everything to be difficult. But as time passes, you will realize that the rules are all very much similar. Before you get started with a new computer or internet language, you should do some research. There are a lot of free resources on all of these subject on the internet. Look there and get started.
