Sold my iphone

September 5th, 2008 by datacraftus

I just got the new 3g iphone. I bought it last week. The iphone that i bought in December 2007 was put on ebay. My wife also has an iphone. I upgraded her iphone as well. With her phone, i put it up for sale on craigslist. I sold the iphone listed on craigs list within hours of posting. I sold it for $335. I sold my iphone on ebay for $425 with a three day auction. It seems clear that selling on ebay is the better choice. But, maybe i could have gotten more for my wife’s iphone if i waited out. Even tho the iphone already sold, i continued to receive emails asking about the phone. One guy offered to pay $400 for it.

The internet is really amazing. You can sell just about anything. I am in the process of finding a new place to live. I wanted to sell off all the old furniture before we move. Ebay is not practical for selling large items, so i will be listing them on craigs list. I think i could probably make over $1000 for all of my used furniture.

Moving 2.0

September 1st, 2008 by datacraftus

How easy is it to move digital files. If you have a portable hard drive, you can just plug in your USB and you’re good to go. You can movie large amounts of data without doing much. You really have to love technology. For example, if you were a photographer 20 years ago, you had to carry an icebox with lot and lots of film. You can do carry solution and dark room gear. But now, you don’t need all that stuff. You can shoot tens of thousands of photos with one memory card.

A friend of mine is moving. She hired movers and called up a lot of her friends. It’s a big deal and take a lot of time and hard work. If only moving was changed to the web 2.0 format. If there was only a way to movie our real world stuff like how we move digital files. If that day comes, we will be living in the future of science fiction.

Youtube clones

August 30th, 2008 by datacraftus

Everybody knows what youtube is. A website that isn’t even 3 years old is one of the most popular properties on the internet. YouTube has changed the way people view media online. Before youtube, people had to download video from file sharing site. Youtube made it easy for people to share video clips. I think it’s amazing that something this simple could become so popular. I think the reason that it became popular is that it was so simple. I think that’s what makes the internet so great. If you have a good idea, just set it up. Who knows, it’s could make you a billions. I have been working with my computer and the internet for a few years now. I feel that web business is the way to go. If you are a small business owner, it makes perfect sense to set up your own website. Setting up a website isn’t that hard. All you need is a domain and some web hosting.

You don’t even need a good idea. Just make some simple changes to website already out there. I found a lot of youtube like clones online. I was thinking that anyone could set one up and make at least a few bucks with it.

Olympic fever at datacraft

August 24th, 2008 by datacraftus

It’s hard to escape the olympics. When it is going on, you read, hear, and see it everywhere. I am not that big of a fan of the olympics, but i can’t help but some of the the events. Michael Phelps and the rely was something great to watch. The Redeem team led by Kobe Bryant isn’t that exciting, but it’s good to see the USA back on top.

Right now, i’m watching the high platform divers. It’s really amazing how accurate these divers are. For people who don’t win any medals, it was must be tough to take. You lose events by like a tenth of a second. It’s really amazing. I wish all of these sportsmen success and good luck to all. I hope the closing ceremonies will be nice to watch. If you miss any of the nail biting events, you can watch them on the internet. Isn’t it great to be online? Aren’t computers grand?
